The Orion OP VK series video cameras are designed to convert optical images into electrical signals for subsequent transmission via cable networks or the internet to an operator station in challenging climates and potentially in the presence of aggressive environments. The camera enables video recording both during the day and in low visibility conditions (twilight, night).

The scope of application is to ensure security, safety and control over technological processes in complex technological production.

The Orion OP VK rugged video camera is designed for operation in ambient temperatures from minus 60°C to plus 50°C, with a climate rating of UHL1 in accordance with GOST 15150-69. Atmospheric pressure ranges from 84 to 106.7 kPa. The enclosure's protection rating is IP67 in accordance with GOST 14254.

Protection against electric shock according to GOST 12.2.07.0-75: Class III / Class I. The metal housing has protective grounding and functional insulation from live parts. At a supply voltage of 220 V AC, protection class I; at a supply voltage of up to 24 V DC or AC, protection class III.

Video cameras are available in versions that differ in housing material, dimensions, supply voltage, and the presence of infrared (IR) illumination.

The video cameras are supplied with two cable entries for laying cables with a diameter of 6-10 mm.

Design

Orion OP VK series video cameras are used in conditions where aggressive environments, both natural and artificial, may be present.

Depending on the configuration, the Orion OP VK can be installed remotely from the monitored object, as it uses high-definition cameras with built-in infrared illumination, providing high-quality images in nighttime surveillance conditions. Lenses mounted on LEDs improve the viewing angle and illumination range. The camera's interior is heated in low temperatures, and an optimal operating mode is selected. A built-in wiper ensures thorough cleaning of the viewing window from various types of contaminants. In low temperatures, it is recommended to turn on the wiper after an image appears on the monitor, to prevent the wiper from freezing to the housing.

The Orion OP VK video camera is a rugged enclosure with an IP67 rating and a camera installed inside. The ruggedized camera is manufactured from low-carbon steel, corrosion-resistant steel, and aluminum alloy. The housing is a hollow cylinder with welded flanges for attaching covers. The rear cover is secured to the housing with six screws and has two external fittings with internal threads for installing cable entries. A power board with thermostats is mounted on the opposite side, which is installed inside the housing. The thermostats ensure heating of the camera's interior. During a cold start, power is supplied to the camera after its interior has warmed up. When the temperature reaches +55°C, an emergency power-off of the video equipment occurs. The emitter board contains eight infrared LEDs, over which optical lenses are installed, which positively affect the characteristics of the illuminator depending on the viewing conditions of the video surveillance system. A wide selection of spotlight lenses allows for customization of video surveillance settings, increasing the range or widening the viewing angle. The camera's design includes a photocell (twilight sensor) that detects ambient light, signaling the camera to turn the light on or off. The built-in emitter is mounted on the front flange of the housing and secured with a cover with a light-transmitting window made of impact-resistant glass. Rubber seals are used at the attachment points of removable housing components to prevent moisture and dust ingress. A canopy mounted on top of the housing also serves as a barrier against adverse environmental conditions.

The Orion OP VK is supplied with a bracket for mounting on a horizontal or vertical plane, as well as a console bracket for mounting on a pipe, at the customer's choice.
