Explosion-proof key switches (switches) of the PKV MK Exe-P-101009 P42 series are designed for switching AC and DC electrical circuits in hazardous areas. The switches have explosion protection marking RP Ex eb db I Mc X / 1Ex eb db IIC T6 Gb X / Ex tb IIIC T80C Db X and can be used in class 1 and 2 hazardous areas according to GOST IEC 60079-10-1-2011, as well as in mines and pits according to GOST 31439-2011 (EN 1710:2005). The environment may contain explosive mixtures of gases and vapors with air of category IIA, IIB, IIC, and dust IIIC. The body material is impact-resistant, fiberglass-reinforced polyamide with antistatic modifiers.
Key Features
The switches are supplied with one metal cable entry of the KV series, TU 27.33.13-359-81888935-2019, manufactured by SMD Company LLC, at the customer's choice. The cable entry thread is M20, and the housing material is nickel-plated brass (-L) or stainless steel (-N). Acceptable cable entry types are listed in Table 1. A stud with an external M5 ground clamp is used for grounding.
