Explosion-proof PCs are an automation tool for implementing various process control systems (PCS) at industrial enterprises engaged in the extraction and processing of oil and gas products, as well as in the chemical industries, fuel distribution storage facilities, the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, mining, civil construction in hazardous environments, printing, textiles, etc. Using PCs and additional equipment, including the ORION series (PCs, cameras, router-router, thermal imagers, switches, fire alarms, alarms, etc.), it is possible to organize operator stations for monitoring technological processes, emergency situations, facility security, accounting for various vehicles, etc. Hardware and software integration enables direct interaction between video surveillance and fire alarm and ACS equipment, providing the following benefits: configuration creation, data transfer to equipment, instrument polling and status retrieval, control of on-site devices, display of a site plan with visual monitoring of the incident status, promptly transmitting an assessment to the appropriate services, and displaying images from nearby cameras on a PC.
Depending on their configuration, PCs are used in areas where the presence of an explosive gas mixture is unlikely (Zone 2) or where there is a risk of an explosive gas mixture (Zone 1) . PCs can be used in various industrial sectors, including underground and open-pit mining. The environment may contain explosive gas mixtures, vapors with air, and dust of categories IIB+H2, IIC, and IIIC, including IIA, IIB, IIIA, and IIIB.
PCs vary in their internal and external configuration (see Table 2), case material, light-transmitting material, data acquisition and transmission method, installation type, dimensions, and configuration. Explosion-proof markings depending on the configuration are listed in Table 1. The specific version is specified when ordering.
Aluminum alloy, stainless steel, or low-carbon steel are used to manufacture PCs. Light-alloy materials (such as aluminum alloy) are not used in the manufacture of PCs for mining and quarrying. The light-transmitting material is monolithic polycarbonate or tempered glass.
