The Orion MK series of video cameras is designed to convert optical images into electrical signals for subsequent transmission via cable networks to the operator's station in conditions of the possible presence of explosive atmospheres, as well as aggressive environments.
Applications include ensuring security, safety, and process control in explosive and corrosive industries such as oil, oil refining, petrochemical, gas, and other complex production facilities, including mines and shafts. These cameras enable video recording both during the day and in low-visibility conditions (twilight, night).
Video cameras have explosion protection type "flameproof enclosure 'D'." The camera's intended use depends on the housing material:
The video camera belongs to explosion-proof electrical equipment of groups I, II, III according to GOST 31610.0-2014 (IEC 60079-0:2011) and is intended for use in underground workings of mines, pits and their above-ground structures, as well as in explosion-hazardous areas of premises and outdoor installations in accordance with the established explosion protection marking, the requirements of TR CU 012/2011, GOST 31438.2-2011 (EN 1127-2:2002), GOST R IEC 60079-14-2013, and other regulatory documents governing the use of electrical equipment.
Explosion-proof and general-purpose industrial video cameras are designed for operation at ambient temperatures ranging from minus -60°C to plus 50°C. In some models, such as those with PoE power supply, the lower operating temperature depends on the video module used and the housing size and can range from minus -60°C to minus -30°C. Climate rating is UHL1 according to GOST 15150-69. Atmospheric pressure ranges from 84 to 106.7 kPa. The enclosure protection rating is IP67 according to GOST 14254.
Protection against electric shock according to GOST 12.2.07.0-75: class III for supply voltages of 12V–24V, PoE; class I for supply voltage of 220V. The metal housing has protective grounding and working insulation from live parts.
Video cameras are available in different versions, varying in housing material, dimensions, power supply voltage, video module types, infrared (IR) illumination, and wiper options. The version is determined by the manufacturer and agreed upon with the customer at the time of order.
